EXCEED has been announced as winner of a Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade.

Established in 1965, the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise represents the highest official accolade in the UK for British businesses which excel in a variety of fields.

The company has been recognised for “outstanding short-term growth” in overseas sales over a period of three years, during which time the percentage of total sales attributed to export grew from 20% to 60%.

With subsidiaries in Canada, Ghana, Mexico and Norway, EXCEED operates across the globe - active in 38 countries, having so far project managed 70 wells, delivered performance improvement services on 37 well projects and supported the delivery of 130 decommissioned wells in the UK.

The international reputation which has earned the company its Queen’s Award is set to continue, despite industry challenges. Late 2020, the company announced a number of imminent UK and international contract wins worth a total $16million, including multi-well exploration projects offshore Africa, managed pressure drilling (MPD) services in Mexico, and performance improvement campaigns in Europe and Mozambique.

On winning the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, EXCEED Managing Director, Ian Mills said: “We are exceptionally proud to have received such prestigious recognition as a Queen’s Award. These awards are not bestowed lightly and are the result of an extremely rigorous selection process.

“To have achieved three consecutive years of outstanding international growth is no mean feat within such a volatile and transitionary sector. Our success owes so much not only to an EXCEED team which has delivered outstanding results on a global level, but also our clients who have maintained faith in the quality of work we deliver.”
